Abstinence America is a faith-based, non-profit 501(c) 3 organization that was founded in 2002.  Our purpose is to teach teens healthy relationship skills and the overwhelming benefits of abstinence- until marriage. As well as assisting parents with effective ways to help their children to make smart sexual choices.
 
As abstinence-until marriage educators our philosophy is to present age-appropriate character-based sexual abstinence information in a realistic and meaningful way. Primarily, how it adversely impacts the one thing they crave most –relationships.
 
Abstinence America has abstinence programs for fifth graders through high school. Our Sex Is Not a Game is a 4 day presentation for high school students that have influenced thousands to make the smart choice and choose abstinence. Currently we are preparing to expand our after school abstinence program for middle school students and fifth graders. We believe strongly that if students are going to be successful at maintaining their commitment to “wait” until marriage to experience the joys of sex they must have on-going support to help them make their goal a reality.
 
For the past two years our SEX IS NOT A GAME SUMMER CAMPAIGN-  - the largest public service announcements (PSA) of its kind targeting teenage moviegoers. We were successful in reaching over 2 million moviegoers in the Houston area.
 
For the upcoming summer we have taken another major step in blanketing the Houston area with thought provoking public service announcements through outdoor billboards throughout the city.
